Lac de lion is a 5 acre lake with over 180 carp to 57lb,lots of 30 & 40's and catfish to 110lb located in the Dordogne region of France known for its warm summers and mild autumn, LAC DE LION is a spring fed lake surrounded by oak, beech and pine trees, situated a kilometre down its own track and over a mile from the nearest house which ensures you will have peace and quiet for your weeks fishing. Lac de lion has been owned by Paul and Debs since 2003 and was stocked with over 120 carp and a few elusive catfish in 2004 and only fished occasionally until 2012 when we first advertised it as a commercial fishery. The lake is rested over the winter ensuring the carp are in their prime at the start of each season resulting in large hard fighting fish you will want to catch. LAC DE LION had an average weight of carp of 32lb in 2015 which has increased in 2016 to 34lb and so far in 2017 has risen to 36lb, showing the steady growth of the fish. Every angler but 1 has landed a 40lb+ carp since 2013.The best week so far in 2017 saw a group of 3 landing 8 x 50lb, 15 x 40lb, 7 x 30lb and 9 ranging from 10lb - 29lb, included in those fish was 56lb mirror, 40lb common and a feisty 19lb grass carp.We hope to see our first angler landing a 60lb carp in 2018. The feed back we keep getting from anglers rebooking for 2018 is they have never fished a lake where the the 30"s and 40"s are catchable (lake record is 43x40lb plus fish by a party of 3 in 2015 with 2x50's) and only 18 carp under 20lb, SEE OUR FACE BOOK PAGE FOR ANGLERS FEED BACK.With so many repeat bookings weeks are limited so if LAC DE LION is a lake you would want to fish please contact us through our booking form.
